Season Cost Comparison
The Real Numbers
Every runtime cost in this calculator comes from actual operating data, cross-referenced with the Holmberg racing cost tracker. The Rush SR runs about $150/hour all-in: fuel, tires, brakes, oil, chain, suspension, and amortized rebuilds. Use the “Compare to” selector to see how that stacks up against SRF3, Spec Miata, or GT4.
This calculator shows car costs only — no travel, no entry fees. Those costs are roughly the same no matter what car you race. Runtime is where the Rush SR stands alone.
How to Use This
Owned: you already have a Rush SR. The calculator shows runtime costs only.
Buying: includes the car ($49,995), competition spec package ($9,974), and safety equipment on top of season costs. When comparing, the competitor’s purchase price is shown side-by-side.
Renting: teams rent Rush SRs for $3,500–$8,000/weekend depending on distance from dealer, level of support, competition level, and number of days/races. Rental generally includes all consumables and runtime.
The incident buffer ($2,000–$5,000) is optional but recommended: racing is racing.
What It Doesn’t Include
This calculator doesn’t account for buying a trailer, a tow vehicle, or tools. It doesn’t include the cost of time off work or the conversations with your spouse. For the full picture — read the complete cost breakdown.
