Rush Auto Works Announces Fire Laps as an Official Technology Partner for the Rush SR

HOUSTON, TX — March 16, 2026Rush Auto Works has partnered with Fire Laps, the AI-powered driver development platform, to bring live telemetry and driver coaching to the Rush SR grid. The partnership includes a Rush SR-specific mounting bracket and wiring harness designed by Fire Laps, an exclusive two-year subscription for the first 50 Rush owners (double the standard one-year inclusion), and a $499 credit toward a Fire Link Pro upgrade.

Starting with the 2026 GridLife RUSH National Championship, Rush SR tech regulations will be updated to allow the Fire Link — Fire Laps’ onboard GPS datalogger and live telemetry device — as an approved accessory. The device streams real-time position, speed, and gap data via LTE, giving broadcasters and fans a window into every battle on track. Fire Link is not a required component. It remains an optional upgrade for any driver who wants live data streaming and AI-powered lap analysis.

“We built the Rush SR so that a club racer could show up with GT4-level performance for a third of the cost,” said Samuel Reed, President of Rush Auto Works. “Fire Laps does the same thing for data and coaching — professional-grade telemetry without the professional-grade price tag. And now every fan watching the livestream gets to see the gaps close in real time. That’s how you grow a series.”

Live Data on the Broadcast

Every Rush SR equipped with a Fire Link will feed live telemetry into the GridLife Live broadcast — the multi-camera, commentary-driven production that covers all six rounds of the 2026 championship.

Fire Laps piloted this integration during the 2025 GridLife GT series starting at Road America. Expanding it to the RUSH Series — which is tracking 30+ entries for the opening round — puts that data in front of a larger audience across all six events, from Carolina Motorsports Park in April through the finale at Laguna Seca in September.

“The RUSH Series is exactly the kind of racing we built Fire Laps for — tight competition, skilled drivers, and a community that cares about getting faster,” said David Calzada, Co-Founder of Fire Laps. “We proved the live broadcast integration in GridLife GT last year. Bringing it to a 30-plus car Rush SR grid is going to be something special for the fans and the drivers.”

Purpose-Built for the Rush SR

Fire Laps is developing a dedicated mounting bracket and plug-and-play wiring harness specifically for the Rush SR, eliminating the guesswork of aftermarket installation. The Fire Link hardware — a 6061 billet aluminum unit with 10Hz GPS and built-in LTE — mounts cleanly into the car and runs hardwired into the existing electrical system. If cell signal drops mid-session, the device stores data locally and uploads automatically when connectivity returns.

The Rush SR already ships with an AiM MXS or MXM dash logger as standard equipment. Fire Link works alongside AiM and other data systems — it doesn’t replace them. After every session, Fire Laps’ AI coaching engine analyzes braking points, racing lines, and acceleration zones, then delivers specific feedback on where a driver is leaving time on the table.

What Rush SR Owners Get

The first 50 Rush SR owners who purchase a Fire Link receive benefits beyond the standard package: two years of Fire Laps’ Intelligent Lap Coach subscription (standard Fire Link purchases include one year), plus a $499 credit toward a Fire Link Pro upgrade. The Rush SR-specific mounting bracket and wiring harness will be available through Fire Laps and directly from Rush Auto Works to all customers (not just the first 50).

For a series built on the principle that grassroots racing should be accessible, affordable, and competitive, this is a natural fit. The same data tools that professional teams spend tens of thousands on are now available to every driver in the paddock at a fraction of the cost.
