Rush Auto Works President & World's Greatest Computer Programmer
About
Sam Reed started doing track days in 2018. He put a deposit on his first Rush SR in 2021, took delivery that December, and 2022 was his first season in the car.
He invested in Rush Auto Works at the end of 2022. After founder Dave Hosie passed in 2025, Sam became majority owner and president.
He owns four Rush SRs now and races #256 in the GridLife Rush SR series, usually mid-pack. At the track he spends about as much time helping other drivers with setup and wrenching between sessions as he does in the car. Away from it he runs the company, keeps a few investments going, and chases three kids, none of whom have passed tech.
Sam and Blair Hosie test new parts and designs on track themselves, so the people deciding what goes on the car are the ones racing it. He blames the missing tenths on the kids and the day jobs.
"Some people don't think it be like it is, but it do"
- Samuel Reed
